Get to know Preludes

"PRELUDES Freshman Honorary is an honorable organization composed of twenty-five outstanding freshmen at the University of Arizona. The objective of PRELUDES Freshman Honorary is to provide a positive, productive, and supportive environment for the University of Arizona and greater Tucson community through philanthropy, service, and social events."

An Honorary is a philanthropic organization exclusive to the University of Arizona - that's right, we're the first, best, and only university in the whole country that has this kind of club on its campus! The purpose of an Honorary, and especially PRELUDES, is to connect a group of freshman together through volunteering and social events. College can feel intimidating, but here at PRELUDES Freshman Honorary we want to give freshman the opportunity to make the University of Arizona feel small in the best way possible.

Sabrina Sulaymonova your potential Preludes mom! She is a sophomore at the University of Arizona. She is a member of the sophomore honorary SMORES, as well as a member of her sorority, Chi Omega!

"I applied for Preludes very last minute after my honors mentor told me about it. I really had no idea what I was applying for, but within minutes of getting in, I realized that honorary meant family. Preludes, and now SMORES, gave me a way to become more involved in the university community, a whole new network of people with different perspectives to meet and learn from, the opportunity to serve the Tucson community, some of my best memories of college, and genuinely so many of my best friends. The honoraries gave me people to miss while at home for the summer and real friendships. I can attribute much of the growth I experienced my freshman year to becoming a part of this unique community, and I feel so thankful to have the opportunity to bring 25 new Preludes into the family this next year alongside all of my friends. "

This year's Preludes Freshman Honorary Selection Chairs, or as we like to call it, the Mom and Dad of Preludes, are Jesus Dominguez and Sabrina Sulaymonova!

From Omaha, NE. Majoring in PPEL and Russian with a minor in psych

From Kremmling, CO. Majoring in Pre-Business  (finance intended)

Jesus (Chuy) Dominguez is your potential Preludes dad! He is a sophomore at the University of Arizona. He is a member of the sophomore honorary SMORES, as well as the president of his fraternity, Kappa Sigma!
